• Market Deadline: The expiration date or deadline of the market
• Market ID: The unique identifier (topicId) of the market

Important: This data is only collected when you explicitly click "Start Analysis" in the extension. We do not automatically collect data from pages you visit.

2.2 Analysis Results (Local Storage)

When you request an AI analysis, the results are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's local storage API. This includes:

• AI prediction score (0-100)
• Direction recommendation (YES/NO)
• Confidence level
• Analysis text/reasoning
• Associated market data
• Timestamp of the analysis

This data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.

3. How We Use Your Information

3.1 Market Data Processing

Market data collected from Opinion.trade pages is used solely to:

• Generate AI-powered predictions and analysis
• Display market information in the extension popup

This data is sent to our secure API endpoint (https://opinion-about-be.onrender.com) only when you explicitly request an analysis. The data is processed by our AI backend and immediately discarded after generating the prediction.

4. Chrome Extension Permissions

Our extension requests the following permissions, which are explained below:

4.1 Storage Permission

Purpose: To cache analysis results locally in your browser

What it does: Allows the extension to save and retrieve analysis results using Chrome's storage API. This enables you to view cached results without re-analyzing markets.

Data stored: Only analysis results and associated market metadata. No personal information or browsing history is stored.

User control: You can clear all cached data at any time from the extension settings, or clear cache for specific markets.

4.2 Tabs Permission

Purpose: To detect when you're viewing an Opinion.trade market page

What it does: Allows the extension to check the URL of your current tab to determine if you're on an Opinion.trade market page. This enables automatic market detection.

Data accessed: Only the URL of the current tab. We do not access page content, browsing history, or other tabs.

User control: This permission is only used to detect Opinion.trade pages. We do not track your browsing activity on other websites.

4.3 Host Permissions

Purpose: To communicate with our API and run content scripts on Opinion.trade pages

What it does: Allows the extension to:

• Run content scripts automatically on Opinion.trade pages to extract market data (title, prices, volume, etc.)
• Send messages between the content script and extension popup/background script
• Send market data to our secure API endpoint for AI analysis

Domains accessed:

• https://app.opinion.trade/* - To run content scripts and extract market data from market pages. The content script only accesses market-related information (title, prices, volume, deadline) from the page. We do not access personal information, login credentials, or any other data.
• https://opinion-about-be.onrender.com/* - To send analysis requests to our secure API endpoint

Content Scripts: The extension uses content scripts that run automatically when you visit Opinion.trade pages. These scripts only extract market data and do not modify the page content or access any personal information. The scripts are declared in the extension manifest and only run on Opinion.trade domains.

5. Data Storage and Security

5.1 Local Storage

All cached analysis results are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage.local API. This data:

• Remains on your device only
• Is not synced to cloud services
• Is not accessible by other extensions or websites
• Can be cleared by you at any time

5.2 API Communication

When you request an analysis, market data is sent to our secure API over HTTPS encryption. This ensures:

• Data is encrypted in transit
• No third parties can intercept the data
• Secure communication with our servers

Data retention: Market data sent to our API is processed immediately and not stored on our servers. We do not maintain logs or databases of your analysis requests.

7.2 Opinion.trade

• Uninstall extension: Removing the extension will delete all locally stored data

8.3 Opt-Out

You can stop using the extension at any time by disabling or uninstalling it. Since we don't collect personal information or maintain server-side databases, there's no additional opt-out process required.

9. Children's Privacy

Our extension is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.
